The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) is planning to carry out security upgrades work at the Canadian Embassy to Peru in Lima.A Stage 1 Request for Qualification (RQ) was published on Buyandsell.gc.ca (RQ 23-225773) on October 20, 2022. The companies which qualified will now be receiving the Stage 2 RFP. Please note that the all qualified Suppliers will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to receive the Stage 2 RFP.DFATD is seeking to engage the services of a Supplier for General Contractor Services for the planned security upgrades work at the Canadian Embassy to Peru in Lima.The project includes mainly exterior security improvements in addition to minor interior renovations. The scope will include but is not limited to the following: Anti-ram furniture – stationary and retracting bollardsAnti-pedestrian fencing – raising and refinishing the walls, adding the topper and raising the garage doorsMain guard house (existing is approximately 50 m2) extension on Bolognesi StreetNew electrical service to the guard houseNew mechanical requirement for ventilation and plumbing to the guard houseNew fire alarm service to the guard housePerimeter lightingThis work will be delivered in the Bid - Build methodology. The pre-qualified Supplier(‘s) will follow the drawings and scope of work that will be outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP) - Stage 2 (henceforth referenced as RFP Stage 2) to qualified firms.This presents a unique opportunity for appropriately qualified and experienced Suppliers to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and experience to implement quality physical upgrades, as will be defined in DFATD's technical requirements (in RFP Stage 2). The Contractor that will be awarded a contract (in RFP Stage 2) will be required to ensure excellent quality in several fields, such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, as well as high quality construction.Suppliers must be capable of providing the full range of services required in English or French, and have the ability to travel to, and perform commissioning guidance in Lima, Peru.NEW SUPPLIERSThe bid solicitation is also open to suppliers who are interested and capable of doing the work, and who demonstrate that they meet the mandatory requirements for prequalification as described in RQ 23-225773. Interested suppliers may request more information by sending an email torealproperty-contracts@international.gc.ca. The email must have NPP 23-225773 in the subject line. Canada is not required to delay the solicitation nor the award of any resulting contract.The Minister will not reimburse expenditures incurred by respondents responding to this NPP.
