Pitt Street Bridge Replacement Project

The Pitt Street Bridge Replacement Project, located at Jackson Creek in Amador County, California, involves the demolition and replacement of the existing bridge. The project is managed by the City of Jackson and is subject to Streambed Alteration Agreement AMA-65851-R2, executed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has determined that the project will not have significant environmental effects within its jurisdiction, provided that the mitigation measures established in the lead agency's mitigated negative declaration are followed. The new structure will maintain a similar profile to the original bridge and will conform to the existing roadway elevation. The replacement will be a single-span bridge featuring a one-lane cast-in-place prestressed slab with abutments founded on spread footings. The new bridge will measure approximately 8 to 10 feet longer than the previous structure, which measured 54 feet in length and 32 feet in width.
