Interested suppliers are notified that the solicitation period for the solicitation for Point Detonating Delay Artillery Fuzes (PDD Artillery Fuzes) and for Multi-Role Field Artillery Fuzes (MR Artillery Fuzes) published by General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems - Canada Inc. (General Dynamics-OTS Canada) in accordance with a mandate from Canada, has been extended.
Equally, the period for submitting questions regarding the solicitation to General Dynamics-OTS Canada has been extended.

The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to establish a domestic manufacturing capability for Point Detonating Delay Artillery Fuzes (PDD Artillery Fuzes) and for Multi-Role Field Artillery Fuzes (MR Artillery Fuzes) including an initial buy of quantity 60,000 PDD Artillery Fuzes and 14,000 MR Artillery Fuzes.
For this purpose, Canada mandated, under the auspices of the Munitions Supply Program, General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems - Canada Inc., Repentigny, (General Dynamics-OTS Canada) as the Canadian Strategic Source for ammunition to Canada to compete to select existing qualified PDD and MR Artillery Fuze designs, establish domestic sources of supply for both Artillery Fuze natures and deliver initial supplies.
Consequently, General Dynamics-OTS Canada is conducting a competitive solicitation to obtain modern designs for PDD Artillery Fuze and for MR Artillery Fuze and to enter into the necessary supporting agreements such as agreements concerning the Technical Data Packages, Technical Assistance Agreements and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs). Canada will be the licensee for any MLA which will be exercised by the Munitions Supply Program Strategic Sources for ammunition, currently General Dynamics-OTS Canada as the prime contractor and IMT Partnership as the supplier of metal fuze bodies for supply to General Dynamics-OTS Canada.
