The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant & Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), requires the purchase of 40,000 linear yards of Screen Fabric Material. USDA intends to award a firm fixed-price, for approximately one (1) year.

Purpose

Fabrication of Emergence Tower Screen Trays is necessary to supply highly specialized Sterile Insect Technique equipment to the NWS program to combat the spread of New World Screwworm in South America and Central Mexico before it infests areas of the Southern United States. Aircraft and Equipment Operations (AEO) has repeatedly provided support to SIT programs in the fabrication of specialized equipment.  Procurement of raw materials in bulk form for the fabrication of this equipment is an effective use of program allocations to avoid delays in the delivery of sterile insects to targeted areas.
