POLYURETHANE COATING

This contract specifies the procurement of a two-component polyurethane coating system, designated by NSN 8010-01-397-3981, consisting of Component A (pigmented polyester resin and solvent) and Component B (clear aliphatic isocyanate), packaged to total two gallons per kit. The coating must conform to Military Specification MIL-PRF-85285E, dated January 12, 2012, and meet Type 1 aircraft application standards with a maximum VOC content of 420 grams per liter, classified as a high-solids formulation. The finished coating must be flat gray in accordance with Fed-Std-595, Color No. 37200, and is not resistant to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Shelf life is limited to twelve months, with extension permitted under RS001 for Type 2 (Code 4) items. Packaging must follow DLA requirements, including single packaging per kit with cushioning to prevent damage, proper marking if multiple boxes are needed, and inclusion of a detailed contents list. Each box must be labeled per MIL-STD-129, including the lot or batch number. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 C.F.R. 1910.1200) and corresponding labels aligned with the Globally Harmonized System must be submitted for approval prior to award, and supplier employees must be trained on these requirements. The contract is subject to defense information protection standards, and delivery must occur within five days after delivery order. The solicitation, issued by DLA District Oklahoma City, is for a quantity of two kits with a response deadline of July 14, 2026.
