AI Contract Overview
The 97th Contracting Squadron at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is seeking a single portable diesel-powered air compressor in accordance with a Request for Quote under solicitation number FA441926Q0035, with a response deadline of 29 June 2026 at 12:00 PM CST. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 333912 and is intended to fulfill a turnkey requirement for civil engineering and flight line maintenance support, specifically for airfield damage repair operations requiring pneumatic tools. The equipment must meet the brand name or equal specification of the Bobcat PA185KBT-ML-T2 with Military Super Standard options, delivering 185 CFM at 100 psig and be trailer-mounted with a standard axle, electric brakes, and a maximum towing speed of at least 65 mph. The unit must include dual hose reels with 100 feet of hose each, USAF-specific preservation, RFID/UID tags, and data plates, with all accompanying literature and manuals provided in English. A Tier 4 diesel engine is acceptable, though the specification references a Tier 2 engine, demonstrating flexibility in engine compliance. The contractor must be registered in SAM with a valid UEI and qualify as a small business, and failure to register will disqualify the offer. All delivery personnel must comply with Altus AFB security protocols and may require an escort based on threat levels. The equipment must be delivered F.O.B. destination to Altus AFB, with freight costs listed separately on the quote, and delivery is anticipated within 15 weeks after receipt of order, though vendors must specify their own lead time. The award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote provides the best value, considering both price and technical acceptability, with the technically acceptable quote offering the lowest evaluated price preferred, although the government reserves the right to select a higher quality item. Technical compliance is a pass/fail gate, and unbalanced option pricing may result in rejection. The warranty is the standard OEM commercial warranty, beginning on the date of final government acceptance. Proposals must be submitted electronically by the deadline, include a completed price table per the solicitation form, a separate technical submission with rationale for meeting requirements, and all required representations and certifications, including compliance with prohibitions on covered telecommunications equipment, hexavalent chromium, Maduro regime business, and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous
