This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to notify potential offerors that Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores, Portugal intends to solicit proposals and award a single award firm fixed price contract using FAR Part 12 � Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services and FAR Part 15 � Contracting by Negotiation. The contract term will be a base period of twelve (12) months plus four (4) option periods of twelve (12) months each; beginning on 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2027. This synopsis is for a solicitation for the following: Non-Personal Service, the Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, safety equipment and other items or services necessary to provide insurance coverage required by Portuguese law and as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), attached for reference, including coverage for job related accidents/injuries and accidents/injuries and/or unexpected illnesses when employees are in a Temporary Duty (TDY) status. Total liability for job related accidents/injuries, unexpected illnesses and accidents/injuries while TDY will be transferred from the United States Government to the contractor for all Portuguese civilian employees of the United States, employed by United States Forces Azores (USFORAZORES) at Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores, from both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non- Appropriated Fund (NAF) activities. The NAICS code for this procurement is 524126 � Direct Property and Casualty Insurance Carriers, Service Code G009 �Social Non-Government Insurance Programs. The anticipated solicitation release date on or about 29 July 2022, which may be subject to changes. The closing date, time for submission of offers, as well as the date and time for pre-proposal conference will be contained in the solicitation package. Solicitation documents will be posted on the Government Point of Entry located at https://sam.gov and to the local chamber of commerce in Angra do Heroismo.
