1. General Information

2. Introduction & Purpose This is a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes only in accordance with RFO Part 5. This is not a solicitation for quotes or proposals. The Government is seeking to identify capable commercial vendors—particularly small business categories—capable of providing potable water deliveries to support the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Forecast Office (WFO) in Gray, Maine.
3. Scope of Work Summary The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to purchase potable water and deliver it to the NWS WFO located at 1 Weather Lane, Gray, ME 04039.
- Critical Operation: The National Weather Service Office is a 24-hour operation and must have potable water for the safety of its employees.
- Tank Details: Deliveries will fill a 10,000-gallon underground water tank located between the main building and the parking lot. The tank connection requires a 3” cam lock male adaptor for the hose connection.
- Water Quality: All delivered water must meet the State of Maine standards for safe drinking water. The government reserves the right to sample and laboratory-test water prior to tank filling.
