FEDBIZOPPS NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SOLE SOURCE: The United States Coast Guard intends to award a firm fixed price contract to ARMAG Corp, 300 Armag Avenue, Bardstown, KY 40004. This procurement is for the acquisition of a sole source supply using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 332311 - Prefabricated Metal Building and Component Manufacturing, with a business size standard of 750 employees. a. Only one responsible source and no other item will satisfy the USCG requirement. b. Only the Armag Corp. Pyro locker will be accepted at this time. The Armag Corp. Pyro locker is the only known supplier of explosive storage magazines that meet all military requirements for safety and security. Design and construction requirements must meet the criteria of DoD 5100.76-M Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives. c. Due to the current Explosive Storage Magazine at Air Station Barbers Point (ASBP) being classified as unsafe for explosive storage. Current magazine is structurally compromised and is no longer safe for storage of explosives. ASBP does not have alternate storage sites available that meet current mission requirements and readiness standards. Any qualified source may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by this agency. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement can be conducted. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
