The contract pertains to the prequalification of sources for Cutoff Wall Levee Improvement Construction Contracts under solicitation number W91238-18-S-1618, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District. Due to updated policy and regulatory guidance across the USACE, the previously approved prequalification procedures and the associated Prequalified Sources List established on April 13, 2018, have been officially rescinded. Moving forward, any new Prequalified Sources List created by the Sacramento District will not be linked to the original contract number and will adopt a new naming convention to reflect these changes. This action is intended to ensure compliance with current requirements and clarify procedural expectations for future solicitations of this nature. The contract falls under the North American Industry Classification System code 237990, which covers specialized construction activities, and is designated as a sources-sought notice, indicating an interest in identifying qualified contractors but not a direct solicitation for bids at this time. The Department of Defense’s Sacramento office serves as the contracting entity, with Gregory L. Treible acting as the Contracting Officer point of contact. The notice will be archived after November 6, 2019, signaling the conclusion of this update phase and the transition towards new procedures for contractor prequalification in related levee improvement projects.

Full Description

With the increased use of prequalification procedures USACE-wide, the procuring agency has received clarified instruction on the applicable regulations and implementation guidance. In order to comply with current policy and guidance, the prequalification procedures approved on 13 April 2018 and resulting Prequalified Sources List - both of which are associated with W9123818S1618 - are hereby rescinded. If the Sacramento District seeks to establish a new Prequalified Sources List, the new list would not be associated with W9123818S1618. It would receive a new naming convention. This notice will be archived on 6 November 2019.
