The proposed Caltrans removal and replacement of Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (RHMA) on State Route 22,55 (SR-22, 55) includes cold plane and replacement of 0.10 to 0.15 of existing pavement with new RHMA from Tustin Street Undercrossing to SR-22/55 Separation, and on SR-55 from SR-22/55 Separation to East La Veta Avenue Undercrossing, in the City of Orange, County of Orange. The purpose of the project is to conduct routine preventative maintenance on existing roadway by cold plane and replacement of existing pavement. The need of the project is that the pavement has structural deficiencies and needs extensions of service life. Disturbed soil area is anticipated to be less than 1.0 acre. The project has state funding. All work will occur in State right of way. No new right of way will occur The public benefits.
