AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to procure annual preventative maintenance services for the Tecniplast Rack Washer and Bottle Filler located in the Veterinary Medical Unit on floor 1 of the Freedom Building in Building 44, exclusively from Tecniplast USA Inc. under a sole source arrangement, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This decision is based on the proprietary nature of Tecniplast’s system software, coding, and programming, which renders the equipment incompatible with third-party maintenance or modifications.
