SUNY Downstate Medical Center plans to procure PrimaGen Advanced Allograft or an equivalent product through a non-competitive process authorized under NYS Education Law §355(5)(b). This law permits purchases without a formal bidding process when acquiring from NYS small businesses, certified businesses under Article 15-A of the NYS Executive Law, or vendors offering recycled or remanufactured commodities or technology. The procurement is open to vendors who meet these criteria, with interested parties required to contact the designated campus representative within 15 business days of the advertisement to discuss the opportunity. The contract, which will last for one year, is scheduled to be awarded by January 3, 2025, and covers all NYS counties, with the primary location at 445 Lenox Road, Brooklyn, NY. The procurement process is subject to NYS Lobbying Law, restricting contact to the designated individual, Sandra Panton, whose contact details are provided. The contract value is estimated between $50,000 and $200,000, and the vendor must submit current NYS Workman's Compensation and Disability Forms upon award. This procurement does not set aside opportunities for service-disabled veteran-owned, minority-owned, women-owned, or disadvantaged-owned businesses, as all subcontracting goals are set at zero percent. The vendor must have not been awarded an identical or substantially similar contract within the past five years from the same or related entities, such as Zimmer. Interested vendors can find additional details and respond through the official NYS procurement portal.
