BID TYPE RFB DESCRIPTION
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) intends to replace its current Canon imagePRESS C10010 color production digital press and Konica Minolta AccurioPress 6136 black-and-white production digital press.
Both devices are high-volume production presses and are critical to the JCCC Print Shop’s daily operations. The intent is to purchase production-class digital printing systems that will provide reliable, high-volume production, improved efficiency, enhanced media flexibility, and the capacity to meet JCCC’s growing print demands. The new solution will need to distribute production volume across multiple devices rather than JCCC being dependent on a single production engine.

West Chiller Plant Tower Pump Replacement
Solicitation # 27-074
Johnson County Community College is seeking a qualified mechanical contractor for the West Chiller Plant Tower Pump Replacement project at the Campus Services Building. The objective is to modernize plant infrastructure and optimize system reliability by decommissioning, removing, and replacing existing Fairbanks Morse 16 inch nominal vertical turbine pumps. Acceptable replacement equipment is limited to direct line replacements from Douglas Fairbanks or Bell and Gossett. Bidders must provide pricing for two options: a Base Bid for the replacement of one tower pump assembly and an Alternate Bid for the concurrent replacement, alignment, and commissioning of two tower pumps. The contractor is responsible for all rigging, tooling, labor, materials, specialized supervision, and environmentally compliant off-site disposal of old units. The bidding process includes a highly recommended conference and tour on November 10, 2026, with a clarification deadline of November 16 and a final due date of November 17, 2026. Award decisions will be made at the College's sole discretion based on the most advantageous response, considering price, quality, and past performance. Required submission materials include a company overview, three references, a detailed project approach with a timeline, and evidence of insurance. Financial security requirements include a bid bond equal to 5 percent of the bid total and a performance bond for 100 percent of the agreement amount upon award. Payments are issued within 30 days of acceptance, with 10 percent of work retained until final completion. All work must comply with Kansas state law, including Form DA-146a contractual provisions.
