The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and the Office of Probation and Community Intervention are issuing this RFP for the provision of Juvenile Sexual Offender Evaluation and Treatment Services for Department youth with a charge or history of sexual offense assigned to Probation, committed to the Department (Residential), or participating in a Department-funded diversion program. Youth with problematic sexual behavior who do not have an adjudicated sexual offense may also be referred by the department. Services shall be available to youth residing in the community (Probation or Diversion) or placed in a Department residential facility in circuits throughout the state of Florida as identified in any resulting Rate Agreement. Specifically, evaluation and treatment services for juvenile sexual offenders are sought through the provision of psychosexual evaluations and individual, family, and group juvenile sexual offender counseling/therapy for youth who have been charged with a sexual offense or have a history of sexually inappropriate behavior and are assigned to probation with the Department. All services shall be conducted to assist the Department in making recommendations to the court for the disposition of youth alleged to have committed criminal/delinquent offenses that were sexual in nature.
