PRODUCTION LOT TESTING

The contractor is required to deliver two units of item 1680-01-258-1259, a frame assembly for a seat, within 180 calendar days from contract award for first article testing at the Fleet Readiness Center East in Cherry Point, North Carolina. The government will evaluate these units and issue written notification of approval, conditional approval, or disapproval within 60 days of receipt. Failure to meet approval standards may result in disposition of the test units according to FAR clauses 52.209-3 or 52.209-4. Production lot testing follows successful first article approval, requiring the contractor to provide at least 14 days’ notice before presenting production samples for government selection. Two random samples from the production lot will be selected for testing, and the contractor must price the associated CLIN to cover the cost of samples consumed or destroyed during testing.
