Project G06079 - Backdrop Term Agreements for Consultant Services (2027 – 2029)

State University of New York at Geneseo is seeking qualifications from design firms/teams forBackdrop Term Agreements for Consultant Services for a period of three years (2027 – 2029).Backdrop Term Consultant Services can be used when a campus has many projects with diversescopes of work. Backdrop term agreements involve the selection of three to six firms to serve asa “backdrop” of consultants that the campus can select directly from the pre-awarded list toaccomplish project consultant related services without a separate RFQ and award process eachtime. A mini-selection process is used to determine the most qualified pre-awarded “backdrop”consultant for each project. SUNY Geneseo will award Backdrop Term Agreements to up to sixconsulting/design firms based on qualifications received. The selection of Backdrop Termconsultants will be a qualifications based selection relative to the following list of anticipatedfuture projects needing Consultant Services: Upgrades to building envelope (roofing, windows, doors, veneers and canopies); Upgrades or replacements to building mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems; Structural assessments; Building interior upgrades and space alterations; Campus safety and security; Hazardous material removals, Engineering and 3rd Party Asbestos Monitoring andspecial inspections; Upgrades or replacements to exterior underground utilities; Upgrades to campus hardscape (parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, landscaping); Construction administration services (construction management, site representation); Campus mapping updates (CADD services) The qualifications basis for the selected firms is outlined in Section 2.1 of the attached RFQ. The maximum value permitted (consultant’s fee) for each individual project placed under theBackdrop Term Agreement is $200,000. The total cumulative value of the consultant termagreements over a three-year period is limited to $700,000. Participation of Minority (MBE), Women (WBE), and Service Disabled Veteran (SDVOB) owned consultants and sub-consultants is encouraged.MWBE and SDVOB goals for projects under this Backdrop Term Agreement are set forth in Section 4.2.1 of the attached RFQ.
