Consistent with the public announcement made on January 30 2026 USDA intends to leverage Title II of the Food for Peace Program (7 USC 1721 et seq) to support immediate food security needs in Haiti valued at approximately 132000000 to include over 74000 metric tons of U.S. agricultural commodities. Although USDA has confidence in its partners on the ground accountability and transparency demands a high degree of credible independent oversight. As such USDA seeks to obtain independent monitoring of programs administered in this location.
