This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba (“Manitoba”), as represented by the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Parks and Trails Branch (“ECC”) to prospective General Contractors to submit proposals for the construction of a new washroom/shower building in Wekusko Falls Provincial Park Campground as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the “Work”). In consideration of Manitoba’s procurement policies and applicable trade agreements, for this Solicitation, preference will be given to Canadian suppliers who have submitted compliant submissions meeting all essential requirements of the solicitation. Manitoba may re-issue this tender at its sole discretion. Manitoba and the Contractor acknowledge and agree that, upon contract award, the Contractor shall collaborate with Manitoba to identify and procure an alternative product in cases where a non-Canadian manufactured product has been proposed. Alternative products made in Canada will be preferred and must be equivalent in quality and performance to the originally specified product, where possible. Any cost variances shall be substantiated with supporting documentation, including invoices and receipts. The work is being done in Wekusko Falls Provincial Park Campground, Manitoba. Work site location will be partially occupied during construction.
