Public Defender First Floor Security Lobby

Hillsborough County is seeking a qualified contractor to construct approximately 2,910 square feet of interior space in the First Floor Security Lobby at 700 E. Twiggs Street, Tampa, FL 33602, as part of a renovation project for the Public Defender’s Office. The scope includes expanding the lobby area, installing a new storefront at the elevator lobby, constructing new offices and a security room, expanding existing offices, and performing limited demolition in the southeast area of the first floor. The estimated contract value is $823,000.00, and the work must be completed within 240 days from the Notice to Proceed date. Contractors must adhere to the permit set dated October 28, 2025, prepared by Ranon Architects & Partners, Inc., and comply with Division 1 and Division 2 specifications, including selective structure demolition. Work must be high quality and low maintenance, conforming strictly to all contract documents, with quality control plans and testing schedules required. All materials must be delivered in manufacturer-sealed packaging, stored properly to prevent damage or deterioration, and scheduled to minimize on-site storage and congestion.
