The Department of Defense's Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime is seeking market information through a Sources Sought Notice for approximately 555 units of NSN 3020-01-461-2732, identified as a flat pulley used in aircraft launch and recovery equipment. This notice is not a solicitation for proposals or bids but is intended to gather industry capability data to inform future acquisition decisions. The item must meet stringent specifications related to the critical application item category, including packaging and preservation requirements outlined in military standards such as MIL-STD-2073-1D and MIL-STD-129. The pulley assemblies require specific cleaning, lubrication with approved grease formulations, and packaging using heavy-duty waterproof materials to prevent corrosion, with strict marking and palletization instructions to ensure traceability and durability during storage and shipment. The anticipated procurement will adhere to these detailed packaging and handling instructions, including special preservative methods, labeling, and shipment to a designated DLA distribution center in San Diego, California. The acquisition will likely be FOB Destination with inspection and acceptance at origin, though set-aside status for small businesses is undecided. Interested suppliers are encouraged to respond by completing the provided market survey and submitting it by the specified deadline. The solicitation process will be managed by DLA Land and Maritime’s office in Columbus, Ohio, with Alisha Blanton as the primary point of contact.
