Purchase of three (3) forward evacuation slides and three (3) aft evacuation slides in new condition for Douglas DC-8 aircraft

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following: (1) Three forward evacuation slides with part number 5156100-6 or equivalent and (2) Three aft evacuation slides with part number 5216100-6 or equivalent for a Douglas DC-8 aircraft. These items are for DC-8-72, Serial Number 46082, and must comply with the attached NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center Procurement Quality Requirement, Q1 Section A. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-87. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 336413 and 1,250 employees. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, 2825 East Avenue P, Palmdale, CA 93550 is required within 180 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. Offers for the items(s) described above are due by 4:00 PDT, April 7, 2016 to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Bldg 4876 Warehouse 6, Edwards, CA 93523 and must include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative.
