AI Contract Overview

This firm fixed price contract, solicitation number W81K0013T0030, was awarded by the Southern Regional Contracting Office at Fort Sam Houston for the procurement of Fluorescent Antibody Virus Neutralization testing. These specific tests are a mandatory requirement for all military working dogs deploying overseas to ensure health and safety compliance. The contract was awarded as a sole source procurement to Kansas State University under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and simplified acquisition thresholds. This non-competitive approach was justified because Kansas State University is the only approved certified laboratory in the United States capable of conducting the required testing, making them the only reasonably available source for these services.
