The VA Connecticut Healthcare System is seeking responses from potential vendors capable of providing outsourced intravenous (IV) services, specifically cardioplegia and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solutions, along with other IV medication admixtures as prescribed. The selected vendor will supply these products directly to the healthcare system on a prescription basis, maintaining consistent IV formulations to align with the teaching hospital’s requirements, where residents rotate between affiliated medical centers. The vendor must guarantee 100% fulfillment of all orders received by a mutually agreed cutoff time and make efforts to accommodate change orders submitted before shipment. Orders will be transmitted securely, utilizing encrypted electronic communication methods and official order forms signed by authorized VACT personnel, with procedures in place for documentation of historic usage to guide reasonable drug quantities. The vendor is required to label all compounded doses clearly, including compounding details, the VA Connecticut Healthcare System's name, and sequential numbering for tracking through to patient use. Confidentiality is paramount; both parties must protect sensitive business, patient, and proprietary information, allowing disclosure only to authorized individuals under confidentiality obligations. The provider must comply with Joint Commission standards, ensuring all staff involved are properly trained, credentialed, and reviewed. This contract is specific to the VA Connecticut Healthcare System facility located in West Haven, CT, and interested vendors must submit their responses by the specified deadline via email to the designated contracting officer.
