Notice of intent to negotiate sole source. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 619 S. Marion Avenue, Lake City, Florida intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Cardinal Health to provide Unit Dose Radiopharmaceuticals for the period 10/1/07 thru 9/30/08 with two (2) one year options to renew. Radiopharmaceuticals shall be delivered in unit dose packaging on an as needed basis, 12-24 hour delivery service seven days per week if necessary. NAICS code 325413. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and Far Part 12. The authority and justification made is based on the determination that the government's minimum needs can only be satisfied by this source. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 21, 2007, to be considered. Such qualification/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation will be issued. Oral communications will not be accepted and responses received after 9/21/07 will not be considered.
