USAID/Egypt plans to modify contract number 263-C-00-98-00067-02 with Chemonics International to extend the current agreement by eight months. The extension will continue the provision of technical assistance and training to key Egyptian capital market institutions, such as the Capital Market Authority, the Central Bank of Egypt, Misr Clearing, Depository and Registry, and relevant industry associations. The work remains focused on the original contract’s scope, which includes capital market legal and regulatory reform, institutional development, creation of new financial instruments, and automation efforts aimed at enhancing Egypt's capital market infrastructure. This modification will be conducted through a sole-source negotiation under AIDAR authority 706.302-70(b)(5), meaning only Chemonics International will be solicited for further work.
