Full Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to increase the level-of-effort under Contract DG133W-03-CN-0007 with Reston Consulting Group (RCG) by 2,718.8 hours for the period ending December 31, 2007 for the continuation of services presently being performed under the contract relating to engineering and program management support for the NWS Dissemination Systems Branch and the NWS Telecommunications Infrastructure Branch. These services include support of the NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) Program, the NOAA Weather Wire Service (NWWS) Program, the International Satellite Communications System (ISCS) Program, and the Weather Radio Improvement Program (WRIP). The work assignments presently in effect under the contract expire on December 31, 2007; by virtue of its performance to date of these work assignments, RCG has a unique knowledge of, and familiarity with, the intricacies of the issues involved in the work assignments, the details of the work-in-progress, and the most effective approach to completing the work assignments in an efficient, successful manner. RCG is the only source which is known to be capable of successfully completing these work assignments in a timely manner. Although NOAA expects that only RCG is capable of satisfying this requirement, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by NOAA. NOAA intends to issue a Letter RFP to RCG pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.203(e).
