Bureau of Land Management Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) in California require an effective solution that ensures dedicated, encrypted talk groups across the public service radio system serving San Diego and Imperial Counties. This service delivers reliable, long-range radio communications for criminal investigations and surveillance operations within the region. San Diego County will continue to facilitate BLM LEOs' ability to monitor, communicate, and report field activities while operating locally. The system enables law enforcement rangers and special agents to coordinate activities and incidents with various agencies, which is essential due to the proximity of public lands to urban areas.
It is critical for the Law Enforcement Officer program to maintain uninterrupted communication with all partnering agencies throughout Imperial County. Given its dynamic and fast-paced operational environment near urban infrastructure, Law Enforcement Officers address both urban crimes and natural resource violations occurring on public lands countywide.
