The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), through its Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), is hosting an Industry Day event on November 29, 2017, at the Waterford Reception Center in Springfield, VA, to discuss the upcoming Medical Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) 2.0 acquisition opportunity. This event aims to engage U.S. businesses capable of providing comprehensive product supply chain management for medical supplies and equipment required by VA medical facilities. The goal of MSPV 2.0 is to streamline and enhance the current logistics and ordering processes, which are presently handled locally through various purchase cards, contracts, and a distribution prime vendor with limited IT support. The selected vendor will be responsible for developing customized medical surgical supply formulary for each VA facility and providing strategic sourcing, life cycle management, quality assurance, inventory oversight, distribution, and warranty management services. The Industry Day event will offer an opportunity for potential contractors to network and interact with VA program managers and subject matter experts, gaining insights into the VA's requirements and contracting procedures. Registration is mandatory, limited to two representatives per company, and must be completed by November 24, 2017. Attendance will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration confirmation required at the event. Questions and registration issues can be directed to designated VA contacts. This event marks an essential step toward the modernization of VA’s medical surgical supply chain to improve care delivery to veterans nationwide.
