The US Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has awarded a firm, fixed-price contract to the County of Johnson Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services at the Coralville Lake Project in Johnson County, Iowa. This procurement was conducted as a sole source action under FAR 6.302-1, as the Sheriff's Department was determined to be the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's requirements. The services are intended to supplement Corps staff in performing specific law enforcement activities as defined by the Visitor Assistance Program and relevant federal regulations. Classified under NAICS code 922120, the contract ensures that a public law enforcement agency with the legal authority to enforce state and local criminal and civil laws provides necessary security and oversight for projects operated and maintained by the Corps. Because this was a sole source award, no competitive quotes were requested and no solicitation was issued. All inquiries regarding this action are directed to Rebecca Costello.
