The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Contracting and General Services in Falls Church, VA intends to award a modification to the South Florida Wildlife Center, 3200 SW 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 for additional wildlife care services for seized animals. Work includes general care, cleaning, feeding, watering, rehabilitation, and veterinary care services of animals accepted at the facility. Health assessments of animals being accepted should be conducted upon receipt and records are to be maintained throughout their stay at the facility documenting health, treatments, and overall condition. The contractor is familiar with the needs of the government and has the land, fenced in property, and security that is required. This requirement is a continuation of services that are provided for Purchase Order F15PX01547. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability for this requirement by responding to this announcement. All proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
