The contract involves the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency awarding a sole source, Cost Plus Fixed Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity agreement to Concurrent Technologies Corporation. This contract covers a base year plus four option years and focuses on developing a Multi-Int Fused Imagery (MIFI) foundation capability. The initiative aims to enable integration, storage, and retrieval of collected imagery data, which will then be assessed and fused. The effort emphasizes leveraging advanced markup languages such as XML and GML, image tagging, pointers, and emerging web technologies to deliver MIFI data—including raw, target, and collection imagery—to customers in near real-time. A key component of the project is creating a multidimensional information space that fuses relevant data around the images, transforming how imagery is viewed and used by various end users for different purposes through multiple representations of each fused image. Work on this contract will take place within a sensitive, compartmented environment, indicating the high-security nature of the data and operations involved. The contract falls under the NAICS code 541330, related to engineering services, and reflects the NGA’s commitment to advancing geospatial intelligence capabilities.

Full Description

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with Concurrent Technologies Corporation for a base year and 4 option years. This effort will involve the establishment of a Multi-Int Fused Imagery (MIFI) foundation capability. This capability will allow for the integration, storing, and retrieval of collected imagery data, which will, eventually, be assessed and fused. Utilizing improved markup languages (ex. XML, GML), incorporating image tagging, pointers, and rapidly developing web technologies suggest there are ways available to provide MIFI data (raw, target and collection) to customers in near real time. Creation of a multidimensional information space around the image with fused relevant data will transform how data is viewed. Envisioned are multiple representations of each fused image, for different purposes, used by various end users. This effort will require working in a sensitive, compartmented environment.
