Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.217-8 of this contract and Part 6, Subpart 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements), the Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Polk, LA intends to contract with DATA SOLUTIONS & TECHNOLOGY (DST), INC., 9901 BUSINESS PKWY STE R., LANHAM MD 20706-1887, on a sole source basis to continue receiving the services in which they are providing Installation Transportation Services Support at Fort Polk, LA. This will be for six months (30 December 2014 through 29 June 2015). Pricing for this option period was not evaluated during the solicitation. Current pricing shall be utilized during the six month extension. Scope of Work: The contractor shall continue to provide Installation Transportation Services and Support functions at Fort Polk, LA. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within ten days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source extension. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to the following address: kyle.l.heid.civ@mail.mil.
