The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, plans to award a six-month extension for Information Management Support Services to the incumbent contractor, Triple I Corporation, under contract W9124L-09-F-0107. This extension is being pursued under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.217-8, specifically allowing for an option to extend services, and in accordance with FAR Part 6, Subpart 6.302-1, which permits sole source awards when only one source is available. The continued services support the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence and the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Sill, ensuring seamless service during the period before a competitive follow-on procurement, conducted by Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is awarded. Pricing for this extension option was not obtained during the initial solicitation period and was therefore not evaluated. The notice serves as an announcement of intent rather than a solicitation for competitive proposals, with a posting period of five calendar days. No solicitation documents are available and telephone inquiries for technical information will not be addressed. Responses to this notice must present clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government. However, contract award will not be based on offers submitted in response to this notice but will help determine whether a more advantageous competitive source exists. Ultimately, the decision whether to forego competition is at the discretion of the Government.
