The Department of Energy's Grand Junction Office requires technical and remediation services related to groundwater programs for a two-month interim period. This short-term need arises to provide ongoing technical support until a new competitive procurement process is completed. Rather than initiating a new solicitation, DOE plans to address this interim requirement by negotiating extensions with its current support contractors, Mactec ERS, LLC, and Wastren, Inc., under existing contracts DE-AC13-96GJ87335 and DE-AC13-96GJ87460. This notice serves solely to inform interested parties and does not constitute a request for proposals or a solicitation. The interim arrangement ensures continuity of essential services related to groundwater remediation while DOE finalizes the competitive procurement process that is already underway. The details reflect typical procedures in government contract management to bridge service gaps without disrupting ongoing program activities.
