Notices and Synopsis Notice (February 8, 2013): 1) Pre-Bid Conference Briefing A copy of the pre-bid site conference briefing is attached (uploaded version incorporates minor edits to address redundancy and format). 2) Pre-Bid Conference Attendee List The Pre-Bid Conference Attendee List is posted herein for your reference. 3) Deletion of Pre-Bid Conference Mandatory Attendance To affirm WMATA's comment at the Pre-Bid Conference, the IFB language indicating mandatory attendance at Pre-Bid site visits is a pre-requisite to submitting bids is erroneous. It conflicts with other IFB language which affirms that attendance at the Pre-Bid site visits is NOT mandatory. An amendment will be issued to delete all references to mandatory attendance. All interested parties are hereby notified that they may submit bids in connection with IFB 12262 regardless of whether or not they attend Pre-Bid site visits. 4) Option Excercise of Line Items Acknowledging the logistics constraints that may exist at the time of contract award, line item 002, Brentwood Major Repair Yard, or line item 003 Alexandria S&I Yard will be amended to read as option line items. This means that at the time of award of the initial contract award covering Line Item 001, New Carrollton Service and Inspection and (S&I) Yard, WMATA may at its sole discretion, simultaneously exercise its option to award work for line item 002 and/or 003 or award work under line item 003 before awarding work under line item 002, or not exercise any option work. If line items 002 and/or 003 are awarded subsequent to award of line item 001, WMATA will provide advance notice before exercising its option to award either of these line items. (END)
