GMD is issuing this Request for Bids (RFB) to solicit qualified boring contractors for CSX railroad boring at Briarwood Road in Greenwood, SC. The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, insurance and inspection services necessary to perform one railroad bore. Approximate quantities are 180 LF of 18" steel casing and 213 LF of 10" C900 PVC force main. Open-cut point repairs are required for connections at each end of the project. Valves and appurtenances must be included, as shown on the plans and as specified. Railroad inspection services must be paid for by the contractor. GMD will reimburse the contractor up to the allowance amount shown on the bid form for paid RR inspection services. Railroad Protective Liability Insurance is required and must be included in the unit price for the work. All product testing must be included in the unit price for the work.
