In accordance with the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, and disposal as necessary to complete the construction of RailRoad Tie Repairs at Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal (TAMT) Berths 10-7 & 10-8, San Diego, California Project. The work shall include, but not limited to the following as shown on the Plans TA-2019-05 and described in these Specifications 2019-43 of the San Diego Unified Port District. The work includes the following:a. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment, in accordance with the contract documents, as necessary to complete the removal and disposal of the existing timber railroad ties ballast, and sub-ballast; installation of new sub-ballast and ballast, and timber railroad ties; and removal, salvaging, and reinstallation of the 115 lbs. existing rail and other track material (OTM).b. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment, in accordance with the contract documents, as necessary to complete the removal, pulverization, and disposal (of remaining portion) of the approximately 8 to 9-½ inch thick asphalt concrete pavement that was installed as part of the Pavement Repairs at Tenth Avenue Marine Terminal Berths 10-7 and 10-8. This asphalt concrete pavement and aggregate base material shall be mixed with cement to create a cement-treated recycled asphalt and aggregate base (CTRA&B) material that will be installed as a base prior to the installation of a reinforced Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement structural section within the Project’s boundaries identified on the Plans and described in these Specifications.
