RE-BID Replace Roof at the Ames Complex Sign Shop

This expedites the process and reduces errors for both buyer and supplier.     THIS IS A RE-BID SOLICITATION FOR THE ROOF REPLACEMENT AT THE AMES COMPLEX SIGN SHOP. DOT is RE-BIDDING DUE TO SPECIFICATION CHANGES.   ADDENDUM 1: ADDS AN EPDM MEMBRANE MATERIAL TO THE SPECIFICATIONS. SEE ADDENDUM 1 ON THE ATTACHMENT TAB.   ADDENDUM 2: CORRECTS TITLE OF ADDENDUM 1.   ADDENDUM 3: EXTENDS BID CLOSE DATE TO AUGUST 7, 2024 TO ALLOW DOT TIME TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS ON THE SPECIFICATIONS.   Overview:
Iowa DOT is sending a RE-BID solicitation due to specification changes. The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for the removal and replacement of the existing roof at the Ames Complex Sign Shop as per the attached drawings and specifications. Work will include removal of existing EPDM membrane and any damaged insulation, coping and flashing, including blocking around the edge to accommodate height of insulation.   Work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. CT, or coordinated with on-site DOT staff.

DOT Estimated Start Date: 9/1/2024 (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract)   Estimated Completion date: 6/30/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids).     NOTE: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration winter weather conditions. This is a required Attribute. See Attribute #12.  
  Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity.   Communication: Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Teri Schulz (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted to Teri Schulz through the IONwave Bid system n or before 7/21/24 at 10:00 pm CT.     Warranty: 1 year warranty with a 20 year material warranty required; refer to specifications on the Attachment Tab for other warranty requirements.    
 
This is project is exempt from state sales tax.     Davis Beacon Wages Do Not Apply
    Site Visits: A site visit is at the discretion of the bidder. To schedule a site visit contractors must contact Teri Schulz at contact@example.gov with a date and time of when you want a site visit. Site visits must be completed on or before July 21, 2024. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit.
