This contract pertains to the procurement of a radio receiver under solicitation number SPRPA126QZB29, issued by the Department of Defense through DLA Aviation in Philadelphia. The solicitation, posted on May 28, 2026, requires responses by June 29, 2026, and falls under the NAICS code 334220, which relates to radio and television broadcasting and wireless communications equipment manufacturing. The contract emphasizes compliance with multiple regulatory requirements, including item unique identification and valuation, mandatory use of workflow payment systems, and adherence to Buy American and Free Trade Agreement provisions. There is a strong focus on equal opportunity compliance for veterans and workers with disabilities, as well as security prohibitions in line with recent class deviations effective through 2026. A critical aspect of this solicitation is that the item must be sourced exclusively from government-approved manufacturers, as this is a Critical Application Item (CAI) that lacks sufficient available technical data or government-held manufacturing knowledge to allow for sourcing from alternate suppliers. Offers from unauthorized distributors or sources will be rejected as technically unacceptable. Additionally, proper documentation such as authorized distributor letters must accompany proposals. Priority ratings for national defense and emergency preparedness apply, indicating the urgency and importance of this procurement. The contract also incorporates an evaluation of past performance through government systems like SPRS and FAPIIS, reinforcing the emphasis on vendor reliability and compliance with stringent federal acquisition mandates. The primary point of contact is located in Philadelphia and can be reached via the provided email and telephone number.
