INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT) - one (1) phase
Title: Launch Ramp Reconstruction – Balsam Bay, Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba (MB)
Scope of Work:
The purpose of this project is to repair the existing Launch Ramp at Balsam Bay, MB. The project includes the demolition and removal of existing launch ramp and the installation of a new launch ramp complete with new pre-cast concrete pads, new cast-in-place concrete pads and base material.
The work under this contract covers:
• Demolition and removal of approximately fifteen (15) existing concrete launch ramp pads.
• Demolition and removal of two (2) concrete launch ramp slabs.
• Excavation to suit new ramp installation.
• Supply and install of new granular base and sub-base.
• Supply and install of six (6) new pre-cast concrete launch ramp pads.
• Supply and install of two (2) cast-in-place concrete launch ramp pads.
• Supply and install geotextile material.
• Supply and install rip-rap material.
Familiarization with Site:
Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
Contractors, bidders or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by December 2, 2024.
