Full Description

Bids will be received via PennBid until 10:00 a.m. local time on August 29, 2024 for reconstruction of Bridges 1111, 1507 and 2904 in Mercer County Pennsylvania. The project(s) is/are full replacement with the designed steel superstructure or an alternate steel superstructure. The project(s) is/are situated as follows: Bridge 1111 - on Carpenter Road (T-760) in New Vernon Township, immediately north of the intersection with Yeager Road (T-693) and south of the intersection with Route 358 (SR 0358). Bridge 1507 - on Marstellar Road (T-660) in Fairview Township, immediately north of the intersection with Breese Road (T-641) and south of the intersection with Burns Road (T-641). Bridge 2904 - on Bend Road (T-546) in Wilmington Township, north of the intersection with Bethel Road (SR 3011) and south of the intersection with Number 8 Road (TG-548). It is proposed, after execution of the contract, to begin work on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed or as otherwise provided in the specifications and after that specified date to prosecute all of said work so as to complete it by August 31, 2025. Bids will be opened and a public notice will be issued via PennBid containing any available bid results following the submission deadline by a representative of the County Bridge Engineer in the Mercer County Bridge Department located at 104 Mortensen Road Greenville PA. Bidding Documents can be obtained at no cost on the PennBid portal at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PennBid portal. Questions regarding this project shall be submitted electronically via the “Ask a Question” feature in PennBid. Responses to questions which require changes to the Bidding Documents will be issued by Addenda posted within PennBid’s Public Notices and “Supporting Documentation”. Registered bidders will be notified by email when an addendum has been posted. A summary of bids received will be issued by the posting agency via a Public Notice on PennBid shortly after the due date. It should be noted that bid results are subject to further review and should not be construed as issuance of an award. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all submissions or parts thereof to waive any informality.
