Recovery Act - Request for Quotation - Indian Health Service Product AcquisitionProject Number: N10PS18575 RECOVERY ACT PROJECT: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE FOR NASA SEWP IV CONTRACT HOLDERS WHO CAN PROVIDE THE REQUIRED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS. The Department of Interior (DOI), National Business Center (NBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), Herndon Office on the behalf of the Indian Health Service (IHS), is soliciting qualified NASA SEWP IV firms to submit responses to a Request for Quotation for Miscellaneous Information Technology Computer Hardware Products for multiple IHS health centers located in numerous locations across the United States that is operated by IHS. This will be a "Brand Name or Equal" procurement. The IHS, Division of Information Technology Operations (ITO) is intending to use Recovery Act funds for this procurement. The funding was included in the programs OMB Spend Plan for the Recovery Act as a component of the IT Infrastructure upgrade in support of meaningful use (ARRA-I-001). The Treasury Account Symbol for IHS is 75 9/0 0389. IHS-ITO provides core network services and support to federal and tribal health care facilities in over 33 states. The hardware associated with this acquisition directly address the equipment needs in support of ARRA related work as well as continuity and compatibility with existing equipment within IHS-ITO. This acquisition supports the objective expected from the spending of ARRA funds as noted in the IHS-ITO ARRA Implementation Plan for Health Information Technology. This plan has been approved by OMB and is posted on www.recovery.gov. The objective of this acquisition is to purchase miscellaneous IT computer hardware products for the IHS. The Acquisition Services Directorate intends to issue this requirement as a firm fixed price competitive delivery order, to NASA SEWP IV contract holders only. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423430, "Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers", size standard, 100 employees. The contract will contribute materially to IHS' successful completion of its responsibilities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
