AI Contract Overview

This contract involves the partial modernization of the Wayne Aspinall Federal Building in Grand Junction, Colorado, focusing on a high-performing green building design-build project. Two key modifications, PS07 and PS08, were issued to address specific tenant improvement tasks and maintenance needs. Modification PS07 added a non-recovery funded line item for upgrading the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers space on the second floor, directly linked to ARRA project tenant improvements. This adjustment increased the contract value slightly while maintaining the original completion date of January 31, 2013. The contractor agreed that this change represented full and final compensation for any claims related to this modification. Modification PS08 included a recovery funded line item to address maintenance by clearing a clogged drain line in the building using water jetting for sewer lines connected to swing space. This minor change also left the contract completion date unchanged and included a contractor release affirming no further claims related to price or performance would be pursued. Both modifications reflect careful adjustments to the project scope and budget while ensuring timely completion under the oversight of the General Services Administration’s acquisition team based in Lakewood, Colorado.
