AI Contract Overview

This contract involves the maintenance and inspection of roofing across multiple locations, specifically covering 18 designated roofs. Initially issued as a construction request focused mainly on roof replacement, the contract was revised to focus solely on roofing maintenance due to differences in procurement schedules between roof replacement and maintenance services. After an initial cancellation caused by technical issues, the request for quote (RFQ) was reposted and multiple contractors were solicited to promote competition. The contract is firm fixed price and managed under the Department of Defense, with the office located at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. The solicitation number for this contract is RFQ363741, with the relevant NAICS code being 238160, which corresponds to roofing contractors. The initial closing date was extended to accommodate significant changes in the solicitation scope. Points of contact include Mary H Ball-Torok and Services Team Lead Lisa W. Murphy, both reachable via email and phone. The contract primarily supports maintenance rather than replacement, with the latter to be addressed in a separate solicitation at a later time.

RECOVERY - Maintain Roofing, Multi Locations - Rev This Award Notice supersedes the award notice posted on 17 June 2009 under RFQ359555, Award FA4626-09-F-0005. RECOVERY Roofing Repair and Maintenance. A request for quote, Firm Fixed Price, was posted to GSA e-Buy on 15 May 2009 under RFQ 359555. This RFQ was canceled due to technical difficulties which resulted in its premature posting. The RFQ was re-posted to GSA e-Buy on 15 May 2009 under RFQ 363741. In accordance with FAR 13.104, Promoting Competition, eleven contractors were contacted via e-Buy to request quotes. This requirement was initially posted as a construction RFQ since the majority of the funding was for roof replacement. The GSA contracts for roof replacement and roof maintenance are covered under two different schedules; therefore, the RFQ was modified to only reflect the maintenance and inspection of 18 designated roofs. The construction requirement for roof replacement will be solicited at a later date. This major change to the solicitation caused the initial closing date of 22 May 2009 to be changed to 10 Jun 2009.
