The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, issued Modification 0001 for the Wyeth Fishing Access Site Project under the Columbia River Treaty Fishing Access Sites program. This initiative aims to mitigate the loss of Native American treaty fishing access caused by the construction of the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. The scope of the project encompasses various infrastructure developments, including roadway design, a grade separated crossing over Union Pacific Railroad tracks, marine structures such as a boat ramp and breakwaters, vault toilets, and campground facilities. This specific modification reduces the project scope by removing the design of protective fencing on the bridge as well as the design and construction of offsite environmental improvement plans at Site B. As a result of these deletions, the total Recovery Funds for the project decreased by 110,000 dollars. This notice was provided for informational purposes to contractors under the existing contract.
