Y--Special Notice - Advanced Measures Contracts for Flood Efforts

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is seeking sources interested in competing for contracts for advanced measures in anticipation for spring floods. Contracts may most likely be issued for locations in western Iowa, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Advanced measure structures could include: earthen levees, sandbags, rapid deployment flood wall (RDFW), or Hesco Bastion structures. Incidental construction efforts such as stripping, site preparations, clearing and grubbing, road repairs, and rip rap may be required. A pre-construction survey, photograph log, and post-construction survey will be contract requirements. Contractors will have to provide sandbags. The Government will provide a borrow site with cohesive soil. RDFW and Hesco Bastion structures may be provided by the Government or Contractor depending on circumstances of the solicitation. Competitively bid contracts with estimated quantities and variation in quantity clause using firm fixed-price unit rates are anticipated. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District may issue solicitations on an expedited basis with as little as a 6-hour response time. Solicitations will most likely not be advertised on www.fbo.gov. Communication of site visits and advertisements will either occur via e-mail or telephone number provided in response to this notice.
