THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Russell Construction Co. Inc., W52H09-08-D-5005-0027 This notice is for the award of a firm fixed price modification to incorporate 2 change orders due to differing site conditions. During the underwater investigation of hydro-electric plant, there was significantly more damage to the subsurface areas of the upstream west retaining wall and Bays 21, 22, 23 and 24 than the Government was aware of when it prepared the statement of work for the contractor to bid on. These change orders will repair the damage. Subject project was awarded to Russell Construction Co. Inc. of Davenport, IA on firm fixed price task order W52H09-08-D-5005/0027 on July 15, 2009. The project consists of design, demolition and repair of concrete and structure on the designated area of the old and new sections of the Hydro-Electric Plant/Building 160. The contractor's proposal for this task order was based, in part, on an underwater survey conducted by the Army Corps of Engineers in 2008. Contract W52H09-08-D-5005 was awarded under full and open competition with the use of best value source selection procedures to Russell Construction Co. Inc. of Davenport, Iowa on August 21, 2008.
