The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command plans to issue a sole source solicitation to BAE Systems for the procurement of Driver Enhancer Forward Activity Detection Systems, under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition due to the uniqueness of the source. Responses must be detailed, written submissions demonstrating an offeror’s bona fide ability to provide the systems, and may be sent via email or hard copy following specific instructions. The government will consider submissions solely to decide if full and open competition is appropriate. All enquiries regarding the solicitation, identified by number W91CRB08R0109, should be directed via email to the designated point of contact. The contract falls under the NAICS code 336992, relating to military armored vehicle manufacturing, and will be managed by the Department of Defense office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
