Refrigeration Mechanic Services

The Government of Yukon is establishing a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for Refrigeration Mechanic Services across various communities and Traditional Locations in the Yukon, including Whitehorse, Dawson City, and several First Nation territories. The SOA has a three-year term from the date of award with an estimated total value of 100,000 Canadian dollars. The scope of work encompasses emergency and non-emergency call-out services, preventative and predictive maintenance, and technical tasks such as leak detection, refrigerant recovery, and equipment diagnostics. All work must adhere to CSA B52 standards and utilize Original Equipment Manufacturer parts unless otherwise approved. Award selection is based on an Adjusted Total Price, which is calculated using hourly rates for Journeymen, Apprentices, and Forepersons/Supervisors, adjusted by a travel and accommodation factor based on the contractor's home location. The evaluation process includes Bid Value Reductions for Yukon First Nation business ownership, location, and labor. Call-ups under the SOA will generally be issued to the highest-ranked respondent first. Contractors are required to provide electronic PDF reports of work performed and must pass Government of Yukon inspections for work to be considered complete. The solicitation is managed by Leah Wainwright and requires submissions via the Electronic Bidding System by November 4, 2026.
